SPOILER WARNING!!!
War Game, this is the fulcrum of MÄR; the battles that our heroes do almost everyday against the Chess no Kouma, in order to save MÄR Heaven. At the begin, this game has been chosen by the Chess no Kouma, that six years before, fought versus the Cross Guards and their leader Danna, for the same reason of Ginta and his companions. How do a War Game work? It's quite simple... It's about some matches that are fought between teams (in this case we have the team MÄR leaded by Ginta and the Chess no Kouma team, that change again and again its members, so they don't have a real captain, but one "improvised" for the match, and usually he's the Knight of the team). The field and the number of the fighters that will join, is decided with the toss of two dices, that is made by the Ragenrave's princess, she that reigns on the battle's spot, even if sometimes is the arbitrator of the match (that says who the winner is and he never interferes with the match) Pozun (he is a member of the Chess no Kouma too) who throw them. Once that the dices are thrown, the players are transferred by Pozun with the ÄRM Andata, in the decided war field (and once that the War Game has ended, all come back to Ragenrave). The result of the War Game is decided from how many matches the players win. If, for example, the match will be 5 vs 5 and the team MÄR win 3 matches, the War Game will be win by them. For the team that lose, the fighters that won their match, can join the following battle, whereas, the ones who lost their match have to renounce to a War Game. For the team that win, even the person who lose his match can fight again in the next War Game. In this case, the only possibility that the team MÄR has in order to lose is that the person who lose his match is the captain, in fact, if he's defeated, all his team lose the War Game. They go this way up to fight against the strongest fighters of the Chess no Kouma, first of all Pawns, then Rooks, Bishops, then a mix of pieces with a Knight in every match as the best piece, up to arrive to the last War Game, where all the Knights take part and in the last battle fights where fights the same Phantom, followed by his best pieces.
