ABOUT HIM

 

He's the representant of Peil House, but he doesn't even live Elan Ceres' life, since Enhanced Persons chose by Peil do it for him. And it's not just about his school life, but about piloting Pharact Gundam too, because using the Permet Score system takes the pilot to death... so there are other Elan Ceres that do it for him, and they all are different guys that changed their faces to become as the same as the original and take his place for the dirty job, so one after another they became Elan Ceres, and one after another they die trying to accomplish Peil's plan to get control of the Benerit Group.

It was never said clearly, but it seems that these guys were promised to get an official citizen ID and be free to live a normal life (what they did before and who they were will always remain unknow... I guess), that's the reason why they accept to become Elan's sobstitutes, and the reason why Elan himself tried to talk to N.4 to understand his reasons to continue piloting a cursed thing like Pharact without caring about his life, but only got as reply that Enhanced Person N.4 thought to be already cursed, and from a long time ago..

Anyway, the series ended and we were nerver allowed to know why.

So... What was original Elan's goal, then? Why was him OK with all of those deaths?

He wanted to be the head of Peil and president of the Benerit Group, but according to Peil AI, BB4 had different plans for him, so they asked him to wait forever to have his moment to make his official debut, and... it never happen to be arrived.

When Elan4 died, original Elan was annoyed but had to take his place at the Incubation Party, playing his role and meeting Suletta to set things with her after the last encounter between her and his sobstitute. He also helped Peil to expose the secret that Aerial was a Gundam exactly as Pharact, and after that moment, Enhanced Person N.5 was ready to take the burden, so Elan was back behind the scene.

At the very first moment it was clear that he was not good as a pilot, but his mental skills were incredible, at the point that Peil's AI chose him among any other students years ago to be the CEO of the society. In fact, he's very very smart, at the point that he even surpassed the AI and predicted that the best way to get attention and earn points and power about becoming the new Benerit Group president would have been killing Earth people as the way as Prospera did, using Aerial without Miorine's consent.

After that... nothing more.

The series ends with Elan sick of waiting and sick of the people around him, quitting Peil with an amusing resignation letter:

After three years he became something like the CEO of a new society or such, but we don't know exaclty wich one.

The only certain thing is that he worked together with Secelia and wanted to do it with Guel and his Jeturk Heavy Machinery too. He also helped to rebuilt Asticassia Academy funding it and giving job to people who lost it because of the incident caused by Norea and the destruction of the school three years ago.

It seems that he was not the maleficent person that BB4 said he was, uh? At least, he had an heart that was shown in the very last moments of the series.

About Enhanced Person

As last thing, I want to spend a word for the "other two" Elans.

We don't know a thing about the first three guys that acted in place of the original Elan before, but n. 4 and 5 are important characters in the series and I love them, so I think talking about them it's dutiful.

Both of them were officially Elan Ceres more than him, and had a proper and strong role from the beginning to the very end!

 

Enhanced Person n.4

Enhanced Person n.4 is the only one that piloted Pharact at his best, using Permet Score too.

He was a silent and cold guy with icy eyes that never smiles. He was considered like a prince at Asticassia, and he had a huge fandom among girls and also boys (listen to the DRAMA CD N.3 if you want to have some more time with Elan4). He loved reading at the point at he's always represented with a book, and it seems to be Schopenhauer's The World as Will and Representation.
Also, Elan4 was Suletta's first love and was killed by Peil's BB4 after breaking their order to use Suletta as a tool to get her Aerial. He thought he had nothing, but after meeting Suletta, he understood that it was not like that. She tried to make a day to celebrate his birthday (since he said he didn't have one) and promised to do it with him and other many people from that moment on, but, irony of fate, Elan4 died just after that promise of them.
He appears to Suletta in the last episode of season 2, and in her moment of worst despair he offered to help her as always, saying a phrase that was fate for the two of them, and that characterized his character forever.

Enhanced Person n.5

Peil's BB4 said that Enhanced Person n.5 was chosen because he had a mischievous personality like original Elan (and they were not even right about both of them, LOL), and he's intruducted as a smily person with a friendly attitude.

Elan5 didn't want to die, so he refused to pilot Pharact and secretly tried to escape to be safe. Once he knew Norea, he wanted her to live instead of weasting her life piloting a Gundam, so he tried to show her his way to go ahead, but unluckily, she was an idiot with not a single brain cell and never got a thing about all the efforts that Elan5 put in his actions with her, and then pathetically died for nothing.
We have proves that Elan5 is not a bad person as BB4 thought, and the only reason why he tried to deceive Suletta and steal her Aerial was to survive at any cost. Also, he helped her and Earth House eventually, until the very end.

Pharact Gundam

Pharact and it's a beautiful creature!

He's a FP/A-77 long-ranged sniper model and I totally love it! Unluckily, since a Gundam takes his pilot to die, no one wanted to pilot him, and just Elan4 did it... The max Level of Permet Score that he supported was 3, and Elan4 reached his limit always doing his best. Elan4's coscience remained alive with any other Gundam Pilots' ones, so Pharact ended up obeying him, sacrificing and vanishing with all the other alive Gundam at the end of the series (Aerial, Calibarn and Schwarzette), but saving everyone else.
