WARNING!
BIG SPOILERS FROM HERE ON!
(Also, my thoughts, even some of the ones in brackets, are spoilers too. because I talk about The Original Manga and related ones by Kurumada-sensei).

Shoko became a Saintia to save her sister Kyoko, that became Eris' vessel instead of her. (This may be enought to summarize the general plot as the whole story but...)

Shoko has a kind and bright personality, but she is as reckless as brave, so she easily gets in trouble (she is the perfect female version of Seiya, afterall).
She grew up training in a lot of difficult athletic disciplines by her father, in his dojo, and without a mother. At that time Kyoko attended the Academy to become a Saintia, so Shoko was without her sister too (but Shoko didn't knew Kyoko's reasons. They meet each other again only after years, when Kyoko came home as the Equuuels Saintia).

It was when Shoko knew better her schoolmate Kido Saori that she found out the truth about Kyoko and her way to be far from home. She met Delphinus Mii too, Saori's personal secretary. In a first moment Shoko disliked both of them, but after meeting Kyoko again, she understands everything about her past, and about the current situation too.

Eveything really started when Shoko was a child and a dryad tried to make her Eris' vessel, but she was saved by Scorpio Milo. He said her and Kyoko to become strong in order to fight their malevolent destiny, but Shoko grew up thinking that that was a dream.

A person with a golden armor that shines like the sun.

This was Shoko's thoughts about Milo, but since she started to dream about him often and until she grew up, she thought that he was just a dream. And not just Milo, the whole sistuation. Anyway, she decided to trust the words of that shining, golden person and did her best to become strong.
(I assume she sees him like a prince or something like that, because she even blushes when she thinks about him. And I can really understand, really~).

The meeting with Saori and the world of the Saintia changed her life, and it was because Kyoko became Eris' vessel instead of her that she decided to take the Equuleus Cloth of her sister. To become stronger to have Kyoko back. So she started to train with Peacock Mayura as her master, but Eris started to make her moves too, so Shoko had to fight dryads and powerful creature to try to reach Kyoko and free her from Eri's influence.

Since this story takes place in the same time as the original manga, it goes hand in hand with with it, without getting out from the canon. And this happens until Kurumada-sensei decided to explain Saga's situation in the special chapter Origins, because from that moment on, the two stories don't match each other anymore.

Kurumada-sensei explained Saga's double personality as a lemur that was put in him at his born, and Saga was free from him only when Seiya reflected the shine of Athena's shield on Saga, at the end of the Sanctuary Arc. After that, Saga suicided.

Differently from him, and before him, Kuori-sensei explained Saga's double personality in a more interesting way (in my personal opinion, obviously): Saga was born with the soul of the god of the violence war, Ares. And since he was inside of him as the same as his own soul, Saga was "two men in one".

I really love Kuori-sensei's way to give an explaination to Kurumada-sensei's black whole that last thirty years, and since Saintia Sho manga proceded at the same pace with the original storyline, I hoped that one day Kurumada-sensei would made this canon, but NO. He made the story of the lemur, so from now on, everything in Saintia Sho became a What If. An alternative universe. And this is a pity, because Kuori-sensei's way to create this development for Saga was simply marvelous, and the lemur... mah. I respect Kurumada-sensei for everything he did to create the original manga and the characters, but the story of the lemur and how he was put into Saga's body is so lame in my personal opinion.

I can't believe that Kuori-sensei made such an odd choise as creating the lemur while he had the chance to make canon Saga as Ares. And I want to say it again, this is MY PERSONAL OPINION. I respect him but meh. The lemur and Saga's suicide after his body was free from him. But this is another story...

To return to the point, after the Evil Saga was explained as Ares, the story became even more interesting, but it doesn't involve the Saintia in, only the Gold Saints and their roles. At a certain point, the Saintia only involve themselves with Eris and the dryads (but Katya, because she is involved with Saga and her past with him at the Sanctuary), while the Gold Saints, in addition to Eris, face the Ares' question too. Especially Milo and Aiolia, and that part is fantastic!!!

I am writing this thing while the manga is not concluded yet, so we only know that happened until Milo defeated Deimos, and Harmonia was facing Shoko and Mii. I have no idea of what's happening next, so I can't really say a thing, but I think that Milo will face Ares somehow, because he even has his Antares, that in Astronomy is even called the Anti-Ares, with a reference to the size of the star Antares, compared to the planet Mars, that is enormously smaller.

I do not know what will happen to Shoko, but I hope we'll see her with a Cloth similar to the Elysium one of Seiya. With angelic wings~ And I hope she will fight side by side with Milo, obviously! I know this is not a shojo manga, but I can't help but shipping Shoko and him together! Io love them and their story, it is like the most beautiful fairytail!
