Hunters are incredible people that can accomplish every missions. They have a special power called Nen, and theare are different type of it.

In order to become a hunter and find his father, Gon leaves the island where he srew up and reach the unknown world to firstly substain an exam. That is the start of the story that will make him meet Killua, Kurapika and Leorio, the ones that will become his beloved comrades and that will travel with him to accomplish their own goals too.

Anyway, "an exam" is their first point to reach, but their lives will become full of any kind of exams from that moment ahead, because they'll have to overcome their limits in order to reach what's important for them.
