Hiro is a guy who gives all himself in piloting a mecha. But he feels like something is missing inside of him.
He loves the bird jyan and feel like it, because that bird has an only wing and it can only fly with another jyan. Together two jyan become one and can do everything. So Hiro feels like this, but there is no way he can feel complete or able to fly. It is thanks to the meeting with Zero Two that he understands what flying really means, and what love is. They become one and piloting the FRANXX Strelizia they show to everyone that they can do everything together. Time by time Hiro thinks to start to develop feelings for Zero Two, but when he found out the real reason, he see himself like a child, when the two of them really met, ten years ago. That time he helped her to escape from the laboratory where she was used as an experiments, and they read together the story of the Oni and the Prince. This is the story that represents their one, because Zero Two became human in order to find that child that promised to marry her one day, and that will never let her alone. He also is the prince that trusted the princess and loved her with all his heart. Zero Two saved Hiro and Hiro saved her. The two of them became the jyan and eventually destroyed the ultimate (?) enemy, the Virms. They, sadly, died, but their love will always remain, that is why as long as they will have a soul, they will meet again and fall in love again and again.

Hiro changed so much since the begin of the series, becoming someone that will never let the person he loves go. And even if he lost faith in Zero Two because of her lies, he still loved and forgave her, as she did with him. And their bond became much more strong.

I love this boy and I think he is like a prince and the perfect lover, because knowing him you know how much he is a good person and... even if death would make you two apart, he will always search for you. ISn't this beautiful? I would love to see every girl having a Hiro. I wish everyone this~
