Tania is a magician, and he appears for the first time in chapter one, saving Lio's life.
He's the kind of boy that doesn't want to show his feelings and emotions. In fact, he tries to appear cold and distant from whatever could happen.
He hides something sad and painful in his heart, but Lio's presence changes him bit a bit.
Tania (that's called so by Lio) is really possessive in Lio's reguards. He uses the fact that he saved his life in order to blackmail him. This is the reason why from the moment in which Lio became Tania's faniliar, the magician tried to make the others sure that he hasn't any bonds with him, using the pretext that Lio is his servant. Also, he always says to Lio "leave it to me" for any questions or elucidations, but, in fact, he tells to him just what he think Lio needs to know.

Even if he tries to appear cold and distant, Tania has a golden heart and he's happy to make happy people with his spells.
There are a lot of dark things about Mao that Tania knows but that he won't to reveal to Lio, apparently, whitout a reason.

Tania's favorite things are to read and to have a bath (many times trasforming Lio in cat, and constincting him to enter the bathtub). When he goes to bed, he likes to have Lio with him, because this is a reason of happiness for him.
