Sawamura Eijun is a talented boy who played as pitcher in the little baseball team of his middle school, where everyone were bad players but him. Once he finds the wonderful baseball team of the popular Seido high school, he leaves his little country and he reachs Tokyo to start from the begin and learning a kind of baseball totally different from the one he played before.

It's there that he'll find the real meaning of the sacrifices and the mental and phisical strength that a pitcher needs to be the Ace. And it's always there that he'll give all himself to become not only a pitcher, but the Ace of Seido high school.
