Kuroko is a teleporter, and her power is very useful to Judgment, the student-based disciplinary committee.
Despite her polite way to speak, Kuroko has a very bad (and dirty, about pervertion) mouth. She usually is crafty and ironic, the kind of person that always look into the eyes of her interlocutor without fear to say something wrong.
That's the reason why she often is struck by Mikoto, that cannot suffer her excessive pervertion towards her.

The fact is that Kuroko is in love with her since she started to know who truly Misaka Mikoto is. That was not love at the first sight, but something that grew up bit a bit, knowing each other. At the point that Kuroko made everything to become Mikoto's roomate, and now they're best friends~

Mikoto is almost all her reason to live, and thinking of her is what makes Kuroko happiest, together with her fantasies to be a couple with her. So, from here her hate for the poor Kamijou Touma, that is the target of almost all the attention of Mikoto herself.
When she's with him, Kuroko can't be rational or pragmatic as her usual, at the countrary, she would like to kill him. XD

Her role in Index is almost zero, because usually she make an appearance related to Mikoto, and to fight Musujime (and be saved by Kamijou Touma). In Railgun her role is much more bigger, and she's a support, the best partner and a great fighter of Judgment, ables to solve a lot of cases.

Speaking of this, Kuroko is always more than happy to help everyone, and she also likes and treasure children, together with her comrades.ùI hope she'll have a role in future too, and not just in Railgun. Because I'd love to know that Mikoto told her everything about her sisters and the rest. Unluckily... At the moment, this is just my biggest hope about her.
