Her ability to controlling, manipulating and using human minds is the reason of her nickname. She's able to control people from a whole school and she's not afraid by other espers with a high level major than her.
Since she's a calculating and pretty smart person, she uses the others to rich her goals. This is one of the reasons why Misaki has no problems to menace Misaka Mikoto to hurt her friends if she'll be in her way, even if Misaki and her have two different lives and they meet rarely at school.

Misaki is a character with a strong personality and even if she apperas like an elegant and kind person, she's lunatic. Usually she's surrounded by a group of her shool comrades that act like her slaves. They adore her but Misaki uses her powers even on them, only to obtain what she wants~
