PERSONALITY

Izumi is the one that captured my attention since I started to follow the series, but even if I that I tried and tried, there was no way I got to understand him properly. And that's the reason why I feel in love with this idiot~

He usually is noisy and easy-going, the kind of person that smiles all the time with a facial expression of someone who is always satisfied of himself. Speaking of this, he's very self-confident and full of love for battles and wars, he always has a solution for everything.

Despite the fact that he usually looks like an idiot, he's a genius. A person that hides his real self behind the appearance of a superficial one to glean advantage from the fact that usually people understimate "normal guys". He has a lot of trion and the extraordinary ability to merge different trion abilities, creating new ones in just a second.

Due to is special intellect, he's an A-Rank agent and the first shooter in the first squad (Tachikawa Squad) among the Border organization. He also is a wondeful strategist and a warmonger that loves full attacks. To be precise, this is the reason why Yoneya nicknamed him "Tamabaka" (Bullet Fanatical).

Even if he's so easy-going in his usual life, when he acts like a Border agent he's always serious and reliable, focused on the easiest and fastest way to reach his goals and complete missions (wihout forgetting to have fun fighting).
He has a complicated personality and his actions are always unpredictable, so I feel like I love him more, more an more the more I read this manga.

Izumi is so fascinating and intriguing that he could have a whole series about him, wishing with his best rival and friend Yoneya, that he nicknamed Yaribaka (Spear Fanatical)! XD
The two of them are amusing idiots that result like the best combinationof ever of power and confidence in each other~

PLOT

Izumis' first appearance was in the Black Trigger Retrieval Arc, where he fights among the best A-Rank agents to obtain Yuma's black trigger for the HQ. He's introducted as a member of the Tacihikawa Squad but he finish to team up with Miwa, against the Arashiyama Unit. He ends up to be defeated together with Miwa, losing the chance to win and destroy everything around him.
After it, we can see him at the begin of the Large-Scale Invasion Arc. Before the battle he was at school, sitting about eating his lunch together with Yoneya. Ones the battle begins, he's sent to make a team with Yoneya and Midorikawa, and the three of them find and fight Lamvanein, an Aftokrator. With a beautiful team-work and the help of the Azuma Unit they are able to defeat the neighbor and to help the C-Class agents to escape and evaquate a zone of Mikado city.
Anyway, once they meet Hairein, the Aftokrator's leader, they decide to fight him to help Tamakoma agents to escape. Izumi faces the neighbor with everything he has, finding useful informations and contribuiting changing the future once again (a future in which Osamu is dead).
After that, he's seen in the Battle Royal Arc of the B-Class units. He's with Tachikawa, and the two of them just want to listen to the report of the matches made by Azuma-san.

EXTRAS

In a special about Kitora's appearance in the Jump Girls illustration in a 2013 edition of Jump, he's there to say "Cooool!" complimenting her some way (with his usual facial expression).

Also, he's ranked 9th in in the Jump Popularity Character Contest, and 5th in the "Who is character that will receive your Valentine Chocolate?" one.
