Why this name?

Aoko is a student and she's in her second year of high school, attending Tokyo Ekoda High School.

She's Kaito's childhood friend, so they know themselves very well. Her personality is determined and mostly quiet. She's very cheerful and enjoys parties a lot. What we know for sure is that her mood can change easily when it comes about Kaito. He's a prankster, so he does his best to make fun of her... though she's not the kind of person who let everything be and what she does is hitting him until she's satisfacted. Aoko gets along very well with everyone, especially with her best friend Keiko. Sometimes she's insecure about herself because she firmly thinks that Akako is cute and she's not at her level. Even if she likes Akako a lot, she doesn't even imagine that she's like a rival for her... she has a pure heart and can't think bad things about anyone but Kaito (she's kind with him too, though).

Aoko admires a lot his father's job. He's an inspector of the Tokyo district and mostly devotes his day trying to find a way to catch Kaito Kid. This is the reason why Aoko is always there to root for him and is always worried about his father's position (because he was even going to be fired because of the thief). And this is even the reason why she fights with Kaito, because he usually despises inspector Nakamori's work. Aoko doesn't know Kaito Kid's true identity, even if different times she suspected Kaito being him but to no avail (he's too lucky *cough*).

She's a skilled cook and she's the one who makes bento for his father; Kaito is the only one who won't ever aknowledge this because he's way too tsundere to do that~ Aoko is proved to be smart and very fast to solve mathematical problems.

This adorable girl was born in September (unknown day) and Aoko is her name because the birthstone of that month is the sapphire ( Ao = blue Ko = young girl, usually used for girlish names).
