Hello! Welcome to "Purgatorio", the TFL approved fanlisting dedicated to Yagami Iori , the thorny and egotistical antagonist from the series The King of Fighters, created and developed by SNK Corporation!

Iori influenced my childhood so much, because one of my happiest memory of that time was going on the amusement arcade with my father and my sister, and playing King of Fighters together with her while he was watching over us. Also, my dear auntie often did the same with me and my sister at the amusement park, and those memories of thirty years ago are so near yet so far in my heart, leaving a bittersweet taste in my mouth, but still... something important for me that sometimes I'm afraid to forget because my memory is deleting a lot of things from my childhood, and since my father and my dear auntie are not here anymore, I feel happy thinking of them and about our memories together.

Soooooo I decided to make a fanlisting for Iori! He's my favorite game character from all times and the one that made me fall in love with fighting games! He's a cold person that only does what he wants and he doesn't care about the others, but he's also a proud and challenging young man that does whatever it takes to show that he's the strongest; that's the reason why his rivalry with Kyo is something that characterizes his life at the point that he still considers him his mortal enemy even if with the development of the story they're not in a bad relationship anymore. I guess he's a bit of a tsundere too~

I also love Iori's fighting style with flames, and the fact that he lost them at a certain point shocked me, because I loooove playing with his flaming version! But still... Since without his flames he was able to develop a personal and incredible battle style based on martial arts, I'm still satisfacted with that... and now they're back again! Also, he struggled so much to change himself in order to find the peace in his heart, and that's the reason why I called this fanlisting Purgatorio, because it's the place between Hell and Paradise, where souls are about to redeam themselves to move to the next step, and that's something that somehow Iori did, I think!
