Mother&son

narcissa and draco

Narcissa and Draco are mother and son of the Malfoys, a prominent and wealthy pureblood wizarding family. Just as any other mother, Narcissa loves her only son dearly, and lavish him with attention in ways possible for her, which results in Draco's attitude to get things working his way and getting what he wants, even if Draco has to bully his own parents for it.

When her husband, Lucius, wanted to send Draco to Durmstrang, Narcissa objected, due to its distance from their Malfoy Mansion in Wiltshire. The Malfoys ended up sending Draco to Hogwarts, where both Lucius and Narcissa most probably went; Draco, like all in his family, immediately got into the Slytherin House. Even when Draco is far from home, Narcissa still spoil her son by sending various sweets and cakes from home every day.

Compared to her husband and son, Narcissa was not as open in her support of the Dark Lord. When Lucius was sent to Azkaban after the Death Eater's failed attempt to steal the prophecy from the ministry, Lord Voldemort recruited Draco as an act of punishment to Lucius. This, of course, became Narcissa's worst nightmare. Deliberately defying the Dark Lord's orders, Narcissa went to the only other Death Eater she can trust, Severus Snape. Despite protests from her sister - also a Death Eater - Bellatrix Lestrange, Narcissa pleaded frantically and finally managed to make Snape do The Unbreakable Vow to watch and protect her son, and do the task that Draco has to do, should he fails to finish it.
