Their relation is the reason why Meiko finds the will and the strength to face the society and the difficults of a life where everyone is against you, but with Miki and her friends' support, she succesfully reachs her goal, marryng the man she always loved.
So in Marmalade Boy Little (Marmalade Boy sequel) she has a son caled Aoi, that is beautiful like her mother~
